Responding with practical support
Advancing Partnerships for the Goals, building a culture of community support. Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 17, Partnerships for the Goals, Khayaban e Khwahish's first public fundraising event marked a milestone in building donor trust and establishing a more sustainable culture of community giving. By convening donors and supporters around a shared cause, the event laid the financial groundwork for the humanitarian initiatives that followed, reflecting SDG 17's emphasis on mobilizing resources through collaborative partnership.
Objective
The event aimed to generate financial support for future welfare projects and increase community engagement, strengthening the resource base needed to advance SDG 1 and SDG 2 outcomes in later projects. The organization hosted a public fundraising event at 21K Padel Court, Model Town. It engaged donors and supporters directly. It raised PKR 100,000 to seed future humanitarian work. SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals, was reflected in donor and community mobilization to fund future initiatives. SDG 1, No Poverty, was supported since the funds raised were earmarked for future poverty relief projects. SDG 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities, was strengthened through local civic engagement and community ties.
