Responding with practical support

Advancing Zero Hunger, the first month long Iftar campaign. Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 2, Zero Hunger, and SDG 3, Good Health and Well being, the 2025 Ramadan Iftar Drive was Khayaban e Khwahish's first sustained, month long service campaign. Volunteers prepared and served meals every evening for thirty consecutive days to workers, staff members, and nearby residents at Kalma Chowk Pump, Lahore. The sustained daily delivery reflects SDG 2's target of ensuring consistent, year round access to nutritious food, not just one off relief.

Objective

The drive aimed to provide nutritious Iftar meals to fasting individuals while promoting compassion and community service, establishing the operational model later scaled in the 2026 drive. The drive distributed approximately 2,100 Iftar meals. It served between 50 and 60 people daily. It completed a thirty day Ramadan campaign, the organization's first sustained service effort. SDG 2, Zero Hunger, was advanced through nightly meal provision sustained across a full month. SDG 3, Good Health and Well being, provided consistent nutrition support during Ramadan fasting. SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals, was reflected in the volunteer and donor coordination that sustained a thirty day campaign

What was achieved

  • Approximately 2,100 Iftar meals distributed
  • 50–60 people served daily
